Tbh I also really enjoyed working hospitality in my first couple jobs. Customers are shitty so us co-workers formed pretty strong ties and I still talk to them frequently--my ex manager is getting married next month and I'm flying in for the wedding. I'm a lot closer with them than those in my current workplace. It was also nice to just not work every weekday, and to drop everything and go home after my shift knowing I wouldn't be called or asked to jump online and do "one more thing".
But I like being a landchad and going on holidays and my parents would be very disappointed if I chose to be a poorcel, so it is what it is.
