The Twin Cities has three options to get the homeless under control.

Do nothing, as is tradition

Actually locate a parcel of land, build a massive temporary housing project that is far enough away from neighborhoods to prevent NIMBY opposition

Have tax exempt religious institutions house these people

I always find it funny when Redditors expose how little they know. When cities "work with community leaders and homeless charities" they almost always mean churches.

I'm sure a lot of religious institutions would be happy to house the homeless on the condition that they don't use drugs.

It's also wrong. There's a 4th option. Kill all hobos.

But... like all homeless shelters whether public or private are already tax-exempt? :marseyconfused2: What is the point being made?

They're trying to say the churches don't pay taxes and contribute nothing to society. In reality they run most of the homeless shelters/outreach and if it isn't explicitly religious, usually it's the secular branch of a church for charity work.

Just give them a free house, and when they trash it give them another free house. And when they trash that free house, give them another free house. Just keep giving them free houses until, well, just keep giving them free houses ok?

My buddy had some random guy move into his backyard. It took him 2 weeks to get him out.

Don't you see that it's in both of our interests if you leave :marseynerd2:

Does his buddy not own a gun?

Minnesota has "Duty to Retreat" laws. So instead of being able to defend yourself and your property, you are legally obligated to run away

Just beat the shit out of them when they're asleep, and then throw their shit away while they're in the hospital. Or light it all on fire and leave for when he comes back. Call the cops yourself right after and say that another hobo came and beat the shit out of the first but it was too dark to get a good description.

I believe in the concept of "enjoying your property" rather than "owning it" :gigachad2:
