Walmart brand shredded cheddar cheese in a two pound bag was around $8.00 two years ago. We just saw it for $17 and change yesterday. We bought a block instead for half that and are shredding it ourselves.

/r/lifeprotips did you know that you can buy ungrated cheese and grate it yourself?

I just found a 2lb bag of shredded cheese for 12 dollars lol.

A lot of people like this are just outright lying about the cost of things for some weird reason.

Prices for most food items have remained fairly stable for a few years now.

The staple items (milk, eggs) etc are on rerolving loss leads at most major stores.

If you're buying bulk items at wal mart it never even began for you.

Also when you buy blocks you don't get that anti-caking additive that makes it melt like shit and gives you cancer
