Prohibition caused wages to go down, causing reliance on tips, which used to be bribes to get faster service.

Then they ended prohibition but never put wages back.

"If you can't afford the tip then you shouldn't go out to eat" was probably invented by restaurant owners. In honesty it should be "if you can't afford to pay your employees then your business model is r-slurred."

Prohibition and its consequences have been a disaster for the :marseyburger: race. Such an interesting period in time.

Everyone who says this should kill themselves. Eating out shouldn't be treated as some luxury for the ultra rich it should be an option if you get in a situation where you can't cook yourself for whatever reason. Poorcels should be able to see a sign that says "$10 breakfast" and assume that's the cost of the service. I pray that automation comes for the restaurant industry so I no longer have to pay an extortionate tax to the most degenerate entitled wagies in wagiedom just to smile and not spit in my food.

Dogshit places like Rainforest Cafe have an automated food selection thing in the line where you order and pay for food before you are even invited to a table.

Wagies tell me this, but still seethe when I tell them I haven;t eaten out in years. Something about "killing an industry"
