Unlike most girl bosses, I am actually a girl boss.
I have a pool guy to take care of the pool. He has been with me for 1.5 years. Quality was great for the first 6-8 months, then it went to meh but not bad. Within the last few months, quality has gone to shit. Bless his little moid heart, he keeps telling me he has other clients. Moids are not bright though and he thinks I'm a housewife and won't notice that his invoices are incremented by 1 every time. I'm obviously his only client, so he should be kissing my butt. In the last few months, he told me that his grandma died, he was in the hospital, and he was moving. I know when contractors do these things, they aren't into it anymore. When they lose interest, quality goes to shit.
The panel on my pool says the SWG isn't producing chlorine. This is a problem. I waited for him to say something, but he hasn't. This is the last straw, so now I must fire him. Some might say I should say something, but I like toying with my moids before firing them. I was testing him and he failed.
What should I do rdrama? Should I be a royal c*nt and do it tomorrow when I pay his last invoice or should I wait until Wednesday or something? I gotta do it by next week before he comes out again.

Grow up and buy a real pool filtration and shock system and stop hiring pool guys. I have to hire someone to do maintenance on my pool 1x a year, everything else is by robot.

I have 2 things: 1. an ionized copper plate system and 2. the automated system that feeds trichlor powder and borax powder and some other chemical I can't remember from their separate chambers based on w/e the pH and chlorine sensors say. The copper plates work ok but despite the marketing idk if they're really strong enough to suppress bacteria in a hot tub vs a pool. The automated arm system is really expensive and takes up a lot of space but part of that is because my pool has a lot of volume and I need really large chambers for the trichlor and borax. The pH and chlorine sensors burn out 3x a year and they're easy for me to replace but are also expensive. Just make your kids dump chlorine powder in the hot tub. It's fun to throw around and it smells great.

lol i had to manually maintain an outdoor pool with no cover for years when I was younger. This was in the !PNW
Basically just faked the numbers and threw a shock pack in there after vacuuming up the leaves and called it good. Lost many inspections

I'll probably never buy another pool. The amount of work/money it takes to just work isn't worth the amount I use it. I feel like even if I had several kids to do the work for free, it wouldn't even be worth making them do it. That's just my experience
