I built her out of the old Halloween coffin I used for a few years. The rest is pallet wood. During the day it's grey but at night she's hit with blacklight and gives off an erie glow. I'm currently working on the Kraken :squidwarddance: that's taking her to the briny deep. I've dubbed her The Mollusk both because of this year's theme and the Ween :marseyboognish: album.

That's so cool. Do you go all out on Halloween? Are you the house everyone wants to visit :marseytrickortreat:

Heck yeah dude. I did a graveyard theme the last few years. Halloween is the best holiday. These are from last year. Sorry for the crunchy quality, I'm not a pay pig. One of the tombstones is for Jimmy Buffett.

What kind of candy do you give out? Better not be that fricking candy corn :marseypumpkinvampire:

Thanks! Usually a mix of chocolate and the Wonka candy. Shit I loved as a kid. I do give a 2 lb bag of candy corn to one of my friends every year because they like it and I think it's funny.

Nice. What else are you going to add to the ghost ship? It reminds me of the haunted Flying Dutchman's ship on Spongebob :marseynakedbob:

I have a dream that one day I can decorate my place like this, and be the coolest house on the block that everyone goes to. I picture myself giving out full sized candy bars... I need to make a lot of money for this dream to be a reality tho lol

That was definitely an inspiration, it was also inspired by the Black Pearl too for the day time. I have a couple of skeletons, including a monkey. I'm working on a kraken right now. I'll add a couple of waves made out of plywood to add depth. I have a couple of pirate flags that I fly occasionally on my flagpole. I'll probably use Calico Jack's because it's recognizable. I would use Blackbeard's but it's more esoteric.

It absolutely rules, not gonna lie. My neighborhood is mostly younger families with small kids which makes it fun. I think it's funny the difference in parents. Moms come to the door and then peck the kids to take one piece. The dads, on the other hand, challenge the kids to go up by themselves if they aren't chicken, usually drinking a beer too lmao.

You can hand out full size ones, but part of Halloween is the experience. Make your theme awesome and the kids won't care what you are handling out. Just make sure your porch light is on

I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's done :marseybow:

My parents never let me celebrate Halloween (Christians) so I try to do what I can now that I'm an adult. Right now it's just simple Dollar Tree decorations and Wal-mart candy mix but I'm adding more stuff each year. I want to add huge stuff like what you're doing, that's so cool :marseyblush:

Thanks! I'll definitely upload more as it progresses. I hope to be done by Sunday. I somewhat feel ya, I grew up in the country so we didn't bother decorating, living it up as an adult. Funny thing is, my church always had fun Halloween activities, we did a haunted house as a youth group fundraiser.

At first I thought this was a skeleton strip club. You should do that next year that would make your neighbors really happy :marseysmug2:
