Bless us all on another day of celebration for Saint Francis her devotion is one shared by many, yet rarely is it carried out in practice. I surprised myself as much as anyone by taking on Sheila and her kittens with 2 days' notice, essentially. I had not met her, nor her then-5 kittens (rest well, Dean. Rest in power.), and yet, I immediately offered myself as their patron and caretaker when trouble was sensed. I could tell that a two room apartment was not suitable for kittens. I know, genius IQ over here
Please send love to the Saint herself. Also, please send kind thoughts towards lil Sheila and Brock, Triana, Rusty, and Rena. Special needs cats are valid in my home!

You do know St. Francis of Assisi was a man, right? One of his first followers was St. Clare of Assisi who started the Order of Poor Ladies (colloquially the Poor Clares) though so there kinda is a female St. Francis. She's even the first to write a set of monastic rules. I don't think she had the ability to speak with animals though.
Anyway, to those who see this: TAKE YOUR PETS TO CHURCH TODAY AND YOU CAN HAVE THEM BLESSED BY THE PRIEST!

I was thinking of miss Saint Clare, friend, as I studied her and had written an essay on her for classwork in high school.
I can tell you why I associate Saint Francis with the feminine pronouns if you absolutely must know. But privately, as it is doxx worthy info so shh
