Sheila Sunday!

Love the Sheila's in your life while you are able to. Their lives are more fleeting than even our own.

Lieutenant, a few years ago, I watched a freshman cadet pass four upperclassmen on the last hill of the 40km-run on Danula II - the darnedest thing I ever saw. The only freshman to ever win the Academy marathon. I made it my business to get to know that young fellow, and I got to know her very, very well. And I'll tell you something: I never met anyone with more drive, determination or more courage than Sheila; and there is no way in heck that she will die. I want that clear.

Actually that was Admiral Hanson (RIP :marseylibations:) talking about Captain Picard shortly before the Battle of Wolf 359.

!trekkies This person doesn't immediately recognize every line from an iconic TNG episode that aired before she was born while replying to a comment on a catpost. We need to place a scarlet letter on her. I bet she doesn't even get why I'm so into Elizabeth Dennehy.

Soap operas get shit on by midwits, but anybody who knows about acting as an actual job gets that this is a great place to learn. These scenes work because Dennehy and Frakes got their start on soap operas. I'm paraphrasing, but she said her performance came out of that, where you had no idea if the writers would have you frick or kill the guy the next week.

Please excuse me for trying to use your thread to start a conversation about Star Trek. I don't have a lot of places where I can do this. :marseyshy3:

It's totally cool, star trek was a family thing for us as kids so my knowledge is shot. I just have feels for the memories of "star trek pizza nights" on Thursdays. They were the only time dad would allow soda until I was 16.

You sound doubtful of her chances.

I saw my neighbor try to shoot a three-pointer and totally missed and a fricking basketball hit Asia right in the head. An object that probably weighed as much as her. She just walked it off like nothing happened. You underestimate how resilient these creatures are.

Oh no, I did not intend to sound like that! You just need to be prepared for anything with pets
