Just so odd for this to be an issue. Like, this would have been a fun thing to ask twenty years ago in a hypothetical, but seeing it play out where the SCOTUS will tell Texas it doesn't have the power to stop people coming into Texas from foreign countries' because that's the Fed's job, followed by absolute silence on the negligence of Mayorkas and Biden.

I don't know, it's almost like they're trying to replace us ASAP so we cannot do anything about it.

There's genuinely no other reason for the lack of federal  response ASIDE from mass replacement

That's very true. I just don't know what to do about it.

The reason is they don't actually give a shit. The people in power making these decisions will get pilloried by their base if they actually come out strongly against unfettered immigration/"asylum". It's easier for them to simply do nothing, speak some platitudes, and ignore the issue.

It does make me wonder where it ends up. I think the people actually living in urban areas have had the most contact with this issue, and like many social issues, the more contact you have with it, the more you want it to stop.

I'd prefer them to be malicious :marseyevil: rather than lazy, at least a malicious :marseyevil: politician is still technically trying to improve things from whatever :marseyjerkoffsmile: twisted :marseybdtf: mindset they have.

This is why centrist !neolibs are the real blackpill. You realize that most government frickups are due to delusions, incompetence, corruption, apathy, or -- this is the real doomer -- something voters genuinely want.

Texas will play an increasingly hilarious game of moving them somewhere else.

Maybe the Lone Star state will finally get high speed trains just to facilitate shoveling them out of the state borders faster.

I can't think of a more r-slurred belief than "the federal government holds a singular, well-defined motivation and can execute on it competently"
