And America’s gold-standard national election surveys show a similarly sharp decline, with non-white proximity to Democrats now at its lowest since the 1960s, before the civil rights movement and the 1964 election which aligned Black voters with the Dems and against the GOP pic.twitter.com/6rR70oieTJ

It's fascinating to see on the macro level, but even on the state and local levels, it's a big, bright red alert for Democrats. They know full well that if even 5-10 percent of black voters jump ship for the GOP (or, simply, don't vote), there's not enough of a coalition between single women, college educated white men, and their smaller remaining share of Latinx to win elections. Coupled with the top third of earning Americans shifting Democrat, it's becoming clear there's a shift in the GOP that few are seeing. It's becoming a working person's socially conservative populist party.
So, I fully expect the Democrats to double down on anything to keep blacks and Latinx on team "vote blue no matter who." More ridiculous and pie-in-the-sky reparations talk, I presume.

Yeah. First because less white men are going to college, second because for those who do, spending four years getting told you are the root of all evils and that you should vote for the political party that endorses that belief tends to drive people away.
