So youd be ok if kamala just let in everyone that wanted to come here and then they passed a law granting them all citizenship? Its only the part that they are illegal due to current laws that bothers you?

!chuds, !nonchuds, !grillers, I can't speak for anyone else, but yes, I'm actually fine with basically open borders. My issue is with welfare for immigrants. As I've said before, I'm perfectly happy to accept anyone and everyone into the country, because that's what makes America great. But they've got to be able to support themselves. No welfare, no kid gloves "every criminal is Jean Valjean stealing bread to feed his sister's starving children" soft-on-crime bullshit, just good old-fashioned American frontier spirit. :marseypatriot: :marseyfrontiersman:

As for the article, this doesn't surprise me a bit. South Fulton is corrupt even by the standards of Fulton County. You'd hope they'd at least have the sense to make some excuse like an effort to promote "diversity in retail", which is what they did last time a beauty salon owner ran into this problem, and sort of did this time, but the fact that they're also bragging about putting in a bunch of national chains makes it pretty obvious what's happening here. :marseybribe:

I agree with you on the anti-argument of "Le Jean Valjean." Like, b-word please, when we see video proof of masked and hooded groups of Rowdies dumping the shelves at Sephora into garbage bags and slowly waking back out into the mall, these aren't people who are stealing loaves of bread to feed their dying sister's son. These are the foot soldiers of organized crime.

Every shop owner should have this sign in their window:

Your property is your ground. All theft is encroachment on your ground. "Stand your ground" defense laws should apply to shooting anyone -- including women, children, confused minorities, r-slurs, gay, :!marseytrain:s, and Palestinian protesters who got lost -- if they try to steal from your store or you simply got tired of being asked if you have a bathroom.

But there is welfare for immigrants and soft on crime bullshit and the immigrants vote for it. Do you understand how democracy works? :marseyconfused#:

I'd be pro-immigrantion if they all looked like Christina Hendricks. But they don't. And they never will.

!chuds is @CeetheAndSope an r-slur?

Which is why, much as I love their attitude towards fricking twinks, I'm glad I don't live in ancient Athens. America's government was specifically designed to, among other things, prevent the tyranny of the majority. John Adams and James Madison were both quite clear in that regard. There's plenty of ways to implement, remove, prevent the implementation of, and/or prevent the removal of various policies, regardless of the will of the majority. :marseyfranklin:

Besides, saying "this is how it is" is a terrible argument when I'm talking about how things ought be. That's not even grilling, it's just... nothing. :marseynpc2:

Also, Christina Hendricks? !gaystapo, we really need to step our game up. The straggots are getting too comfortable. :marseyhomohitler:

You just made the same "terrible argument" when you dismissed my Christina Hendricks immigration idea! :!marseyindignant#:

All immigrants "ought to" look like https://media.tenor.com/8kPSUmqYOrgAAAAx/christina-hendricks-joan-holloway.webp

Also she was friends with the gays in the show!! :!marseyindignant#::!marseyindignant#:

What? I dismissed your disgusting idea because of straggotry, not inertia. What we really need are immigrants who look like Mike Colter. :marseybuffbipoc:

Specifically i do think it would be congress to pass the law not kamala. I do think she is failing in the role she has in failing to faithfully execute our current laws.

Further i didnt agree that she could let everyone in. I agreed it was the illegality that bothered me. The law would be to improve our immigration system.

Good thing she can just pardon them all then! Completely legal.

She can in fact do that federally but cannot on a state level. The laws still exist on both levels and federal supremacy only exists when they intend on enforcement
