The Democratic Party sucks because it's based around gay race liberalism and is formed of disparate groups whose only glue is unity against straight white men, or anyone who ticks 2 of those boxes.

Their base is diverse and, contra to the propaganda, diversity isn't fantastic.

I've always at the GOP line that "Democrats are the party of slavery/KKK!" as though it still applied in <CURRENT_YEAR> (whoa parties change whoa), but I think that Democrats always have been, and look like they will continue to be, the party of disparate interest groups. Too many interest groups means that you can't come up with a policy without pissing off entire interest groups. They're at the point where they clearly can't keep their interest groups in line - union leaders not backing Kamala, "destined demographics" turning out to be more Republican (and thus less unified as a coalition) than anticipated - and their gains have been coming through college-educated mayos, which they are trying to create a coalition group out of by being anti-conspiracy. They have no idea how to actually do this though, hence the campaigning with the Cheneys. Trump's also going to be a temporary phenomenon, so you cannot build a long-term coalition around opposing him.

Will Democrats try to move away from coalitions entirely? (The Democratic Leadership Caucus and the Bill Clinton presidency I think were attempts at this.) Will Democrats manage to establish coalitions which can reliably hand them elections and not be susceptible to fracturing? Who knows, but all paths lead to drama.

The problem is that democrats are old money and republicans are new money. Always has been, always will. The difference in the past old money sorta cared about what happened in the US and their children had reasonable social causes and kept their weird fetishes secret. Since the early 2000s Democrats realized that by the 2000s that if they controlled all the institutions they could offer nothing but promise everything and since Republicans are indifferent to people without kids, and kids are extremely expensive for r-slurs to handle which is most of the country. They have been able to slowly get a larger using childless weirdos that literally only think of the present and nothing else. Once you add gays in who make bank because they don't have kids and will donate big, you have an unstoppable behemoth that can't course correct. This is because the old money childless young weirdos support all the causes for the the rest of the poor childless young weirdos support. Since they don't have to interact with them and give free shit to poor r-slurs makes you feel good. That's why the Democrat party is imploding, now. Versus the Republican party which imploded in 2016.
