i literally don't even understand what sort of answer you could possibly give besides that one? like is the implication that you're not supposed to deport people who dragged their kids through 300 miles of desert?

Deport the parents, congratulations, the kid is now a ward of the state. Easy.
Don't like it? Ok, we can end birthright citizenship which is nonsense.

Birthright citizenship is one of the really great things about America. It means you can never (well, not since 1920, anyway) have a permanent underclass of nonvoting slaves like the UAE.

Yeah it's not actually a good idea to try to get rid of it. You can end up creating the regressive issue of statelessness, which is widely considered a human rights violation, when you try to deport a child who is neither a citizen of the US, nor necessarily of whatever country you're sending them "back" to. I'm not a big fan of recreating problems we fixed a long time ago.
Everyone who hasn't served in the Military honorably for 4 years or a least one combat deployment should lose their citizenship and be given a green card. Any criminal loses their green card and is deported to whichever country volunteers to take them before we air-drop them into the middle of the Atlantic ocean
Voting conditional on an IQ test over 115 and owning property
as soon as the fed starts back up handing out the rest of that land out west again we can talk about policies designed to populate a vast (newly ) empty land 200 years ago
also the welfare state. those people back then got their free land and citizenship but there were no frozen tendies let alone neetbuxx
there aren't neetbux for anyone but refugees, EMS and School is covered by taxes they pay through sales and ad valorem from renting + the majority of the US is uninhabited, only citycels think it's overcrowded
maybe we just secure the border and don't change our fundamental laws

Compromise: birthright citizenship but only for first worlders
fr the only reason the US has birthright citizenship is bc when we made that decision it took months to get here and there was a fairly significant chance you'd die along the way, especially in the shittier passenger classes
nobody at the time could have foreseen that any prole would be able to fly from Europe to the US in less than a day for less than a single month's wages
I don't think it can ever be removed, though. You'd never get the majority you'd need to change it.
So we have to pay for their kids, way more expensive than the illegals just staying here, and there's a 110% they'll get into gangs and meth as soon as they're released.
Modern "j*urnalists" are basically LLMs trained on buzzwords that just string them together with an upward inflection to see how the interview subject reacts.
The entire point is to churn out as many statements as possible in response to as many buzzwords as possible to build an /r/politics headline.

Some places they do, some they don't, but we don't have any control over that so it's kind of a pointless statement to make.

Service guarantees citizenship. Frick entitlements without work. They have to go back. And you should lose your citizenship until you earn it.
