Taking away fluoride won't make r-slurs smarter, only uglier

Jump in the discussion.

well yeah, butt it might redice rhe number of rslurs being born if your read the studies i provided. Also the if the rslurs arent brushing their teeth/relying soley on flouridated water then their gonna have nasty teeth anyway :marseyshrug:

Being poor is a far higher predictor for IQ than fluoride consumption, let's fix one thing at a time.

We went to the moon on lead, we'll be fine with fluoride

Lead is a bad for development you dumb frick. The lead vapor the adults inhaled once they moved to cities to work in the 50s-60s wasn't really relevant. There's a reason Boomers and Gen X are fricking dumber than the Greastest Gen, and Millennials

being poor means being more reliant on unfiltered tap water which makes them dumber which makes them more likely to be poor. If youre solution to the rslurred poors problem isnt to just kill them off then we arw going to have to look at a multilaterla approach including rwducing the number of rslurs born. we might be able to make rhe next generation of poors lower middle class and so forth by raising their collective intelligence.

The issue sufficiently poor people will always ignore dental health necessitating these actions to keep the population as a whole generally "safe"

Jump in the discussion.

those people stull have fricked teeth tho. Maybe if they had a few more iq points theyd know to brush. If they dont brush the f-water isnt near enough by itself as we all can see when looking at poors. People who arent rslurref can brush their teeth and wont be affected by no flouride in the water

i referencex several other studies some of which claim that any amount of flouride is bad. Anyway the effictiveness of flouriding water for teeth is just dumb, instead we should give poor people free tooth paste and might even save money doing that. The only reason it is done is bc flouride is a byproduct of mining/producing phosphates and would be considered a toxic waste/environmental hazard that the phosphate companies would have to spend money "properly disposing" of it. Instead they sell it to municipalities to dumb down their poors

That's what I've always understood, is that the areas with massive fluoride levels have more r-slurs but they have so much fluoride because they're poor and can't/won't save for a dentist. Really as long as I can hate poors I'm happy

Can u summarize the studies bb?

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

there's no known health benefits for flouride consumption beyondit being good putting it on your teeth. Studies show that florudie when ingested lowers iq in children, babies and clumps of cells in uetero, butt dont agree about how much is too much. The less you put in the water the less effecrive it is for the one thing its good for(teeth). The public can get the benefits and avoid many of the potential broad social affects by simply brushing isntead of paying tax dollars to have industrial waste put into our water

The whole fluoride thing is r-slurred.

A lot of countries don't do it and its effectiveness is still debated. Fluoride treatments and fluoride toothpaste seem to have a scientifically observable impact but redditors are so obsessed with being anti working class that they became contrarian over it.

The best they have are examples of kids with brown teeth who consume fluoride rich water way beyond whats considered safe.

flouride is good for your teeth when you apply it in high doses, let it sit for a few minutes and spit it out, butt having small amounts in the water arguably has little effect on dental health(if you dont brush, butt drink flouride water your teeth will still be fricked) while quite likely having adverse health effects most notably on the brain. There is no reason to just mindlessly pump it into the water when you consider the cost benefit analysis

When i read studies on it a while ago, they discovered municipalities put fluoride in the water because everyone else was doing it.

Well I just think its better to lean on the safe side of any issue that could be dumbing down the population. Just give people free fluouride pills or regulate more flouride in toothpaste if people really need more flouride. If I was running any first world country I would want to totally brainmaxx the population, like handing out fish oil and multivitamins in public schools and shit.

I mean you will get a serious disease overdosing almost any vitamin or mineral, even if it's normally good for you. Watch chubbemu he has great videos about people who overdose on like flinstones gummies and shit

The reality is that everything is like this. Like for example antioxidants have an oxidizing effect if you take too much. The body is a pretty amazing self-regulating chemical reaction, but exposing yourself to any massive chemical imbalance is like exposing a snail to salt.
