They're bad because they're a form of fat that's extremely easy to hide in practically any type of processed food, however I think their health effects other than just being a form of fat are extremely exaggerated, and many of the influencers who demonize seed oils beyond just them being an overused form of fat advertise alternatives like beef tallow which is mostly saturated fat, unlike seed oils which are mostly unsaturated, and saturated fats are much more unhealthy than unsaturated fats.
