Based jouno? :marseyjourno:

What would a “based” journ*list look like to you guys? I hate journos because of the damage they do to muh society, and the power they hold. I was wondering, could a journ*list actually do good for people instead of being scummy and two-faced? What would that look like?

Just looking at it as a general concept instead of looking at modern journos makes it easier for me to picture. Maybe a good journ*list could make a report like a warning, reporting the early signs of a flood for example and being like an alarm system to others. Or a hypothetical good journ*list could spread the word about an amazing new discovery that not many people have heard of yet. What do you guys think

Interesting, I like his takes on the :soycry:”Democracy is at great risk most important election of your lifetime to keep out the dictator”:soycry: meme. I find it dumb as heck that “threats to democracy” is even raised seriously when the American government is supposed to be oh so big and powerful and strong. You can’t have it both ways. This is classic jorgour well 1984 double speak:marseyrage: sowing the seeds of fear and reaping a little later.

However, I am not an American wingcuck so democracy politics liberal conservative whatever is of limited interest to me. This was a notable claim however:

Democratic campaign committees have spent millions of dollars trying to elevate Republican candidates who are objectively more threatening to democracy than their primary opponents were, on the theory that those candidates were less likely to win general elections.

If anyone has more information or sources on this I am interested, is this verifiable info or a claim or suspicion or what? I’ve heard that idea before.

Yeah I've seen it reported on Axios I think that the dems are funding the crazier chuds :marseyxd: i think that guy's a centrist so he creates seethe on both sides :marseygrilling2:

found it: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2022/09/12/democrats-interfere-republican-primaries/

Democrats have spent nearly $19 million across eight states in primaries this year amplifying far-right Republican candidates who have questioned or denied the validity of the 2020 election, according to a Washington Post analysis, interfering in GOP contests to elevate rivals they see as easier to defeat in November, even as those candidates have promoted false or baseless claims.

It looks like the explanation is right there in the thread. The comic is a parody of stereotypical “coming out” scenarios represented in media. It psychologically primes people for the acceptance of such behaviors (both in the real world sense–that of being gay–and in the contextual sense–that of being a demon designed solely to kill everyone). Indeed, I'm curious why you're not “outraged” about the comic itself equating gays to murderous traitors. Instead you're upset about someone CALLING OUT this comic for its psychological propaganda. Indeed, not even that. You're upset about the no-no word he used in doing so!

Are your feelings hurt by seeing a no-no word? What exactly is your problem with the post itself? List, specifically, what your problem is with the post. Is it really just the no-no word? Why should anyone care about your feelings when you're defending the institutional r*pe of children and the social spread of incurable diseases?

Why are you incapable of defending your ideological beliefs using objective scientific data? Not just in the contextual sense, but in the broader sense of why you seem to want to censor people for saying truth when it hurts your feelings.
