you say that, but I knew a guy in college who accidentally taught himself to have NEOs as a teenager and it was basically a superpower that had women bragging about him. it's not bad to push the envelope of how your body works, if you're gonna beat off you might as well do something productive with it. and I think all exploration has value as long as you prioritize breadth and don't get too fixated on any one thing.
