There is exactly one good local regular burger Ive ever eaten and it was absurd and cheating because the place uses grass-fed beef (and will make you go to sleep after you eat it because each patty is like a million calories).
But yes every single Slop McDouble is loaded with scientifically formulated flavor-chemicals to make it absolutely unique but also totally consistent everywhere and every time. And salt.
That's because burgers should be simple. Patties should be small but still juicy, simple toppings, easy to bite into. Fancy burger places ruin it by overcomplicating what should be a simple concept (ground beef sandwich on a soft bun)
