Considering that the Gaza Strip is literally a remnant from when Egypt and Jordan and Syria tried to colonize Israel and the Israeli military decolonized them away and kept the reclaimed territory.
Palestinians call it a "military occupation" or "apartheid," but in reality it's just a Hadrian's Wall to keep out the people who have been openly crying for "death to all Jews" since the 1930s.
