/ Israel has secured official peace, if not peaceful stability and trade relations, with Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan largely by BTFOing them in military conflict first. To say that bombing the shit out of somewhere won't eventually lead to peace is just wrong./ Now, it probably won't work with Lebanon because the while the former 3 countries have some level of investment in trying to be a real countries (or at least the pretence of it) Lebanon is administered by religious freaks who would rather see half their own population dead and starved if it meant they could kill a few Jew kids in return./ But what, really, are you supposed to do with neighbours like that? You can't just not respond to attacks. Basically, Lebabon has full control of its destiny. All they need to do is decide not to try and kill all the Jews tomorrow and refocus internally.
