I would like a 4X vidya game where you can found your society and build it focused around the extermination of another player/civ/whatever.

But once they're fully gone, you lose a bunch of bonuses you built over the game and have to reorient play.

So you could probably build it by allowing research tree to give you extra damage against x player. The difficulty is how many players are in the game. You could balance it against who you're likely to encounter. You could blitz people who focused their neighbors because they didnt get research into you.

I'd want it so you could only pick a specific one. The mechanic already kind of exists in some civ games where you can get attack bonuses against civs with religions different from yours, but I want an entire small tree available where you can waste x points whatever on getting bonuses related to make x country your enemy. Maybe even allow creating the tree for any civ/whatever, but it still wastes whatever points.
