Wonder why news isn't covering Greta Thunberg Palestine Protest....

Media loved to cover her clinate protests but now she is protesting for Freeing Palestine from genocide by israel and it's quiet as a mouse. Very mysterious.

Btw, does the woman (girl????) not age.

She literally looks like she is 13 wtf???

Proud of her though. Doing the Lord's Work!!!!

Crazy how principled she is. I bet she could have made a lot of money by just doing talk shows and saying the climate change lines. But she is on the ground protestibg and she even god arressted. Tough butt woman!!!! Not even being ironic, she is an inspiration to me :chadwomannordic:

But of course no idolize anyone, not even a coolster like Greta. Only worship God.

Thank you for reading. What do you my rDrama friends think????

Do you think that leftie activists see it that way, though, b-word? I've known and interacted with some and I don't think they necessarily pause to consider any more than chuds being presented with new ragebait do. Plus as it pertains specifically to Palestine left-wing organizers have been heading antiwar movements for a fricking while and you can sprinkle some "climate change is fricking white supremacy" rhetoric she's no doubt been exposed to on top.

Anyway I upmarseyed @naive's OP because:

Only worship God.

I'm sure they don't see it that way, but the rhetoric that the Israelis have been committing genocide for 50 years sits awkwardly with a high public profile where I can see the person didn't care until the exact moment it became trendy.

"climate change is fricking white supremacy" rhetoric

:marseyitsallsotiresome: this bizarre effort to tie random activism together is so annoying. Especially as it's so transparently an effort to tie the unrelated interest groups of the Democrats together, rather than actually coherent ideology

IDK, pro-Palestine stuff has been filtering around with American lefties for decades. I became aware of it back during Occupy era protests (when I was a fricking young and idealistic :marseylibleft: sympathizer) and the fricking apartheid/genocide rhetoric began in the fricking late 70s/80s before picking up traction. I'm not especially invested in defending Greta, just pointing out that at minimum the fricking people she's been surrounded by would've held those views prior to the fricking recent conflict.

Especially as it's so transparently an effort to tie the fricking unrelated interest groups of the fricking Democrats together, rather than actually coherent ideology

Which mainstream political ideologies do you see as coherent, b-word? Nationalism has dominated the fricking right for a fricking long time and is no fricking more logically consistent in any of the fricking treatments and treatises I've been exposed to.

I don't think there's anything wrong with representing multiple interests in a party. Democrats can represent civil rights groups and climate groups, but ultimately they are separate causes. Efforts to tie them together result in embarrassing claims along the lines of "Climate change will kill us all. Here's why that hurts Black womyn."

I'm not sure I want to defend any ideologies on the grounds of consistency. I will instead say that liberal societies, in the classical sense, are broadly better than illiberal ones. Even an illiberal nation like China owes much of its success to begrudgingly opening up its economy.

In many western nations the consensus on liberalism is dying, and I don't think any plausible replacement will be better

I talk to my dad like every 3 days, my mom maybe 5 days. We basically just talk about rDrama-type stories. (Actually now that I think about it my content here is extremely like my dad. A mix of dramatic "lol a tard did something", extremist radical centrist politics, with some didactic lessons about what you're an expert in (for him it was more science, for me it's history) That guy is fricking amazing, he can talk about anything and it's interesting and he never even tries to be interesting.). And they love marseys, both of them. My family's favorite (you would have to have been there to get exactly how funny this is):
