So, Israel told Merica what it will take for them to stop bombing Lebanon all the time and the demands are what anyone would expect from them:

"You are all stupid and incompetent and I hate you. From now on you must let me do the whole killing terrorists shit for you because your army is useless and full of lazy cowards. Technically UN should do more too, but I'm willing to take over all of their peacekeeping duties anyway so it doesn't matter. Also your air space is mine."

Lebanon will probably reject this, and it's using some weird logic for it:

The demands aren't from the US, read the article. It was given to the US so Hochstein can present them to Lebanon and discuss further.

According to the article the US wants to mediate peace talks in that conflict. A crucial early step for such talks is that all parties present their demands, which Israel now did.

Israel is not in a place to demand anything of the United States. It will do as it's told or it will be cast as a pariah on the world stage with no backing. I hope Biden and the State Department teach Bibi to fall in line like the good dog he is.

The USA does not has to facilitate peace negotiations in Lebanon. But if they do (and they seemingly do) they have to hear the demands of all parties involved. Israel now presented their demands. It is also not like they are demanding those things of the US they just presented them to the the US since they are the ones wanting to mediate peace talks.
