Rumors: Hezbollah ready to throw in the towel

There's lots of rumors that Hezbollah has accepted in principle a cease-fire with Israel that doesn't include Gaza. It sounds quite plausible to me. This war didn't go how they (or a lot of people) expected it would and they at least need some time to regroup and figure out who hasn't been killed yet.

Also, as I've been stressing here for years and none of you r-slurs listened, Hezbollah is in a really bad spot in domestic politics right now.

Does this mean a cease-fire soon? Of course not. Even if both sides truly wanted peace it would take a long time to work out the details. But at least they can maybe start working toward that now.

Anyway, I'm not promising anything, but I want all you r-slurs to read and internalize this so that I don't hear a year from now "you said Hezbollah would never surrender!"

Arguing with invisible people again? I didn't say or imply any of that. I'm pointing out your habit of announcing to the website your viewpoint as if it's important and doing so in a condescending way.

Israel did in 2006 and was about to start blowing them up but it wasn't really great circumstances so accepted a withdrawal agreement whereby UNIFIL and the Lebanese government would ensure the South of Lebanon was demilitarized. Well UNIFIL and the government did nothing of the sort and Hezb spend the next 18 years building tunnels and converting every house there in to an outpost while complaining about Israel breaking the terms of the withdrawal and petitioning for UN resolutions every time a plane did a flyby to check on the absolute bullshit going on.

Nah they got legit stalemated in 2006, Israel just learned from it.

Ceasefire is, and always has been, a very generous term to refer to the state of "not active war but we still fire a cheeky missile over the border every now and then to keep you on your toes"

I predicted Hezbollah was gonna going to get fricking annihilated if they didn't keep their mouths shut, like everyone else with any sense.

Iran is next, even though Academics have been pretending that they're both competent and rational actors

Well that hasn't happened yet.

Academics have been pretending that they're both competent

I'd love to see any of these "academics" of yours saying that the Iranian government is competent.

They'll just withdraw and then start lobbing missiles again later.

I dunno, after Oct 7 they were doing as little as possible, trying not to get dragged into this. And that was before all the leaders were killed.

after Oct 7 they were doing as little as possible,

Neighbour they forced the evacuation of 6 digits of people.

It took a while for it to escalate to that point. At first they were just doing token shelling of Shebaa Farms or something, the bare minimum to show they were on Hamas' side.

If they really just wanted to "do as little as possible", they could have not escalated.

I love the current :marseyflagpalestine: v :marseyflagisrael: v :marseyflaglebanon: conflict because none of them have gained anything but they're all going to claim victory in a few months when they sign the back to the status quo of 6th October 2023 ceasefire.

You predicted that the Israelis would have intelligence this good about where all their leaders are? To a level that's pretty much unprecedented in the history of warfare? You would look really smart now if you told everyone your prediction back then.

They literally started the war blowing up the entire hezb system of communication and leveling a whole block containg a bunker with the high command inside

If after this you though "oh hezbollah has a chance" you might be too dumb to breath

If after this you though "oh hezbollah has a chance"

A "chance" at what specifically? I never said Hezbollah was going to "win". I just didn't expect them to take this much damage and do so little in return.

Again, if you had really predicted that Nasrallah and most of his lieutenants were going to get killed and that Hezbollah's rockets would be ineffective you should have spoken up back then. You tards act smug because something you imagine I predicted in the past didn't happen, but I don't see you making any predictions.

>Noooo you didn't predict the exact date, time and location that Mohammed Achmed bin Mamoud was killed so there was no way you expected the IDF to kill Hezbollah!!!!!

Jump in the discussion.

I could say literally the same thing to you, except it would make more sense because I actually had the guts to make predictions back then.

there was no way you expected the IDF to kill Hezbollah

"kill Hezbollah" is incredibly vague. WTF does that even mean? Destroy the organization? Kill their leaders? Kill their rank and file?
