Stack jannies go on strike and the forum suddenly becomes usable

Imagine not having your post removed because someone 12 years ago asked similiar question

And the only answer to that question is "you shouldn't do this, you should do something else instead" due to the specific needs of the person asking 12 years ago.

Or the dreaded "I sent your answer in the PMs" or link to a dead website.

When I was at the first stages of learning to code I thought it was just a meme and people complaining were the ones in the wrong, only for then needing to replace a function with vulnerability risks with something similar and every answer to my problem was 'just use the function lol. Maybe use X feature from version .10 even though you asked what to do in .2'

I think stack exchange jannies don't understand what a tiny tiny % of their traffic in any way gives a shit about them or the "stack exchange community" in general, they are a resource found from google

I agree with the jannies.

SO is a rich training dataset for LLM's, they need to continue curating it (for free) by keeping it pure

Just add a toggle for the user to allow/disallow AI replies or at least mark them clearly as AI generated. Job done. Don't know why the essay isn't as short as that.

I'm not usually one to go to bat for a bunch of nerds but your answer doesn't really address much of anything.

It's pretty r-slurred actually.

Yeah, it's just one button. Would've taken less time than writing the screed.

SO jannies should all be thrown in the bin, they're almost completely detached from SO and they waste all their time on irrelevant metadrama.

why are people calling this "gay"? as a white man, this proud tradition is part of my heritage. the buck breakers are no different to the pionnering men who tamed a horse for the first time, or built a bridge across a raging current. these are the stories of how we overcame nature, and while outdated to some, they are part of a proud history of conquering the wild which allowed us to have all the modern amenities we have today. buck breaking is a complex and beautiful tradition and im happy to say my ancestors broke bucks.
