If you have the cash burning a hole in your wallet, then get all girthy 16 inches of that MacBook

Even at the loss of the better processor? To spec the 16 out performance wise like the 14 it would be $3650, which is way too much to spend on a laptop. I went into this originally wanting to spend $2500.

Sorry, I glanced and assumed the 16 was better all round.

Portability? Will the 16 be too big to lug around? Will 14 be too small? If the 14 is too small for video editing, would you be fine hooking up to an external monitor?

The 14 has more GPU cores and but I'm not sure if the performance-to-efficiency CPU core proportion is different to the M4 Pro. The 14 does have less RAM but I doubt you'd get bitten by it.

Personally, I'd lean towards the 14.

You could buy a better windows laptop that's 2 years old and then get an M4 clone with the leftover money.
