Richard Stallman's Anti-Glossary :gimp: "These are some terms I avoid using, with explanations of why I reject them."

https://stallman.org/antiglossary.html

Favorite bit is that he dislikes the term "pro-choice" because it "supposes that choosing to have a child cannot be wrong".

I support abortion rights, not "choice".

>I support abortion rights, not "choice".

Took me a while to understand this, but I guess he's saying that he supports women being able to choose to have abortions (presumably for any reason through the third trimester), but wants there to be circumstances where they're forced to have abortions as well. Spicy take.

Children: Humans up to age 12 or 13 are children. After that, they become adolescents or teenagers. Let's resist the practice of infantilizing teenagers, by not calling them "children".

Non-avian dinosaurs: Let's stick with the word "dinosaurs" as the name for that group of species.

:eaglehesright#:

this is the only one on the list I completely agree with

(and also we should include pterosaurs as dinos; they're the sister anyways, so)

How else will you know if something will break if you don't test it on real-word environments? Always code and test in production!
