:marseyyawn: Shovels bit come from some POV saying they were forced to assult without ammo when they run out, or they weren't supplied with enough ammo to begin with. Different waves were supplied differently.

Yeah probably. That's why you have to take every information about an ongoing war with a grain of :marseysaltlicking:.

Can't wait to read about this war in a few years when hohols and glowies will be allowed to be a bit more honest about r-slurations on their side, right now we can only see those on snowBIPOC side.

I think this will be an interesting lesson in propaganda over the internet once it's all said and done.

Yeah only a lesson about the propaganda feed to the Ruskis. Everything the west reads is factual and not propaganda at all.

This is the only quote in the article that explains the headline.

The ministry added that the increased close-quarter fighting was probably due to a continued focus from Russia's military on deploying soldiers on foot due to a lack of artillery ammunition.

So this is one claim about why they were focused on infantry tactics, not a claim that anyone was fighting unarmed. If there was some source to anyone fighting without access to guns (let alone actual evidence), it's definitely not in the article.

Note that the smug headline buries an entire article focused on Russian advances, the impending capture of a city, and officials' attempts to downplay the victory.
