Looks like the Ukrainians have dropped a U.S.-donated JDAM bomb by plane on Russian positions for the first time.

It’s more than combined arms; it’s complete and effective air supremacy. The US could get away with only 200k for Iraq because of mass bombings that broke Iraq into a rout quickly. Russia didn’t even attempt that and probably couldn’t have.
Also a point of mine we argued about.
What? China wasn’t even brought up????? We were talking about the flexibility infantry advantage gives.
Yes. Ukraine’s government and military would’ve been completely disconnected by a massive shock and awe bombing campaign and the US would occupy the nation within 1-2 months. With significantly more civilian casualties than what russia has done.

I pretty clearly remember saying infantry numbers didn't matter that much with combined arms but that Russia was still light, and also Russia sucks at combined arms so it was even worse.
Also Russia clearly tried, they just failed. They fired a lot of missiles in the opening few weeks, at least 700. They had bombing campaigns. They just couldn't deal with Ukrainian AA and stopped.

And yet the US still dropped as many bombs on Iraq day 1 as Russia launched in the entire first month. For a nation that needed at least 2.5-3x as many as the US dropped on Iraq too blitz.
