im not mad we lost our colonies, im mad we were forced to join NATO under the threat of invasion of the Azores islands (which are not colonies), after they forced us to join they fund our enemies and do nothing when our territories are invaded. Im just sick of their 2 faced lying nature.
I admit I have a soft spot for Angola since my family comes from there and NATO actively funded rebel movements when Portugal was part of NATO. This is not an alliance but just the US moving its vassals around. That territory belonged to portugal since the 1500s thats longer than the US has even exits for... If the independence movements wanted to secede, that fine, im not opposed to it, but what happened was a complete sad excuse for america to advance its interests without any regard for the populations there, which resulted in untold ammounts of bloodshed
