The way he tries to dominate Xi is very stupid by placing his hand above Xi. Such shit only hurts diplomatic it’s like he tries to show he is above China and that’s exactly what China hates on top of it his own power ain’t firm, frogs won’t stop protesting, the longer he will wait to find a compromise the more French economy loses and start hating him more, as frog he should had understood it. Russia is also a lot more important to China than France can be and he is in China trying to offer something to China while disrespecting Xi like this.
