That massive r-slur concerned over Russia's capacity to feed half a million soldiers because their economy is smaller than Canada's :marseybruh2:

These morons really don't understand just how obscenely rich in natural resources and food Russia really is. If they did, then all these ideas of winning a war of attrition against Russia in Eastern Ukraine, of all fricking places, would be met with immediate and total ridicule.

Russias issue isnt resources but some of the worst logistics on the planet. It's why they outright failed to siege Kiev. You had a giant convoy of russians with no gas all out of their trucks burning shit for heat.

Russia can have 430k troops in ukraine (most of which are drunk conscripts locked into defensive positions and prone to retreat) but their ability to supply said troops in any offensive capacity is dubious.

Almost 2024 and still parroting this idea that Russia wanted to take over Kiev with 20k men. Get Real. What next, are you gonna tell me the Russians wanted to conquer all of Ukraine with less than 200k men?

Keep to pistachio posting because your takes on this conflict have been hysterically bad.

Lmao yes they marched a massive convoy to the outskirts of kiev, ran of fuel, got slammed with arti and constant ambushes as a mere feint.

Russia did not expect ukraine to fight back.

There's a difference between deploying troops in the North to force Ukraine to the negotiating table and keep them busy there as the bulk of the army was storming through the East and South, and wanting to take over a city of 3.5 million people with 20k men. This is beyond delusional. Literally no one but the most ardent NAFO dogs believe this. We also know today that Russia DID manage to bring Ukraine to the negotiating table and that it was only because of Boris Johnson's visit and the promises of NATO/US support that the war didn't end in April 2022. You can argue that Russia didn't expect as much resistance as they got but saying they wanted to take over Kiev with the 20k men they had in the north is absolutely fricking r-slurred. It's like saying Hamas wanted to take over Israel with less than 2k men on Oct. 7th.

Friend your argument is basically "theres no way russia was this r-slurred."

Based on literally what? Every single thing about the opening invasion points them intending to topple thd ukrainian government.

Not least of which them pulling back and completely changing wargoals and strategies after getting routed on multiple fronts.

Nobody with basic understanding of what happened thinks they didnt fully intend to take kiev or carry out a decapitation strike.

If toppling the government was their main concern then they would've sent the entire 200k force to the North and Kiev. Clearly, this wasn't the case. Their main concern, as they have said numerous times, was to secure the land bridge to Crimea, secure the Donbass and bring Kiev to the negotiating table with promises of never joining NATO. This has literally been confirmed by the Ukrainians themselves, that Russia's main concerns were securing Crimea and no Ukraine in NATO, as per the negotiations that took place in March 2022. Like, what else do you want? All of you've said is simply conjecture.

>Friend your argument is basically "theres no way russia was this r-slurred."

My argument is based on the accounts of those involved in the war aka Russian and Ukranian leadership and common sense. Your argument is just conjecture. It's just "I want it to be true because it confirms my belief of a cartoonish evil and incompetent Russia, therefore it is true, even if it defies all proof and logic."

>Lot least of which them pulling back and completely changing wargoals and strategies after getting routed on multiple fronts.

Yeah, they did believe that Ukraine would capitulate to their demands and weren't exactly well prepared for a protracted conflict. Thing is, Ukraine almost did capitulate. That doesn't detract from the fact that Russia absolutely did not want to conquer all of Ukraine or even conquer Kiev with 20 fricking thousand men. This idea is so absurd and divorced from reality.

You are saying that Russia forgot that other countries exist and that foiled their genius plan. It's a dumb take

I'm saying that Ukraine almost did capitulate, as per their own government officials admissions. Never did I say Russia had a genius plan in hand to force Ukraine out of NATO aspirations or that they perfectly anticipated how everything would play out. In fact, I very much agree that Russia failed tremendously in the initial stages of the war and showed remarkable incompetence in several aspects of warfare. That still doesn't detract from what their actual goals were as confirmed not only by Russia but also Ukraine and US/NATO, that is, to secure a land bridge to Crimea, secure the Donbass, apply pressure on Kiev and force them to give up any and all aspirations of joining NATO. Of course, the last goal failed since US/NATO did commit to supporting Ukraine, even if that support is now waning. What will happen now is what many analysts and experts have predicted, that Russia will continue grinding Ukraine out turning it into a rump state while in the process taking a few more oblasts up along the Dnieper. It will happen, make no mistake, we're already seeing just how important Ukraine really is for the US with the conflict in Gaza.

They dropped their best troops on Hostomel airport and let them get overrun to "bring them to the negotiating table"? Jesus Christ, even actual vatnigs aren't this delusional.

Look up where the Hostomel airport is, and the direction the Russian troops came from Belarus. The Russians failing to secure the airport is not at all at odds with their main goals. Like, do you deny that there were negotiations in March 2022 and that Ukraine was ready to capitulate to Russian demands until Boris Johnson came with promises of extensive military support from NATO/US? Because the Ukranians themselves have admitted to it.

Having your guys get surrounded and captured is some brilliant 3d chess.

Yeah? How is that supposed to reflect badly on us or the Ukrainians? I haven't seen cope like this since "yeah Kamila Valieva was doping but she's a little girl so the Americans are bad for catching her".
