ISW is neither forecasting that Russian forces will seize Chasiv Yar nor forecasting that Russian forces will be able to threaten or even seize Kostyantynivka or Druzhkivka.

Russian jets are flying above Chasiv Yar, Russian didn't had this in Bakhmut or Avdiivka so the city is as good as gone. Its also not a city that is easy defendable.

So bitches are getting paid to be objective and they are dropping this bs that they ain't forecasting, why are they getting to paid ?

It's on elevation relative to the surrounding, so what do you mean indefenseable? Lack of air defense thanks to the Republican party is a real threat, however. Even the uparmored Urals can make progress if the VKS can fly with impunity.

Russian are at same height as chasiv Yar and west of chasiv Yar is low land, it was a good place before Russian captured Ivanivske since back then Russian were on lowland.

The brigade that was main protector of that city stopped existing before even fights for that city started. Wikipedia also acknowledges death of their commanders

During the defense of Chasiv Yar on April 6, 2024 the 2nd Rifle Battalion of 67th Mechanized Brigade lost both commander Serhiy Konoval and deputy commander Taras Petryshyn, of 2nd company of the battalion.

But AD thing is pretty much unfixable for Ukraine. The Fabs became very accurate and can be dropped from 80-120km, patrio pac3-mse has range of 120km but Ukraine at one point tried to keep them close to the front and lost them to a drone and event in Israel where Israel used patriot to shot down Iranian missiles.

Best outcome for Ukraine now is just freeze the front
