Then they market it as "X% reduction in weight" which is implied to be versus 7.62x51 ammo, but it's versus "Comparable Ammo". The ammo that they're comparing to are magnum rifle rounds like .338 Norma or .338 Lapua. Of course it's fricking lighter, it's 13mm shorter with a smaller bullet.
