Russia: keeps Ukraine as a buffer state, keeps the conquered territories, but has to deal with even more NATO at it's borders

Ukraine doesn't have a single ally or friend or any mutual defence contracts with any other country
If they wanted protection they should have tried to befriend other states. In the end nobody owes Ukraine anything because they never did any favors for any other country ever. And now they're paying for it.
