Lets take restoration of borders as a middle of the road victory and specifically 2020 borders, if they get that we can call it a win. Of course they could get more.

Ukraine ain't going to win and in global scheme it already plays negatively because it only makes China stronger.
That's why Trump doesn't want a beef with Russia.
Ukraine is only worth something if they control Donbas and Crimea. Zelenskyy no matter how many bs he told he never promised to capture Donetsk and even hinted its impossible.

Oh don't get me wrong, I have no love for Ukraine. Russia is just a geopolitical enemy and once Putin eventually dies it's likely going to give rise to a number of splinters who will then have access to whatever materiel remains. I'd prefer as much of it be exhausted and destroyed as possible before that happens, and Ukrainians dying while using our leftovers to make that happen is the absolute best way for that to happen.
No illusions that Russia poses a threat to Europe; they won't touch a nato member and Poland could singlehandedly roll through clear to Moscow without breaking a sweat. The plain and simple of it is just that Russia is unfriendly at best towards America and American interests and the aid we've sent Ukraine has been virtually unnoticeably small with regards to our budget and what we're actually sending them. It's been a very good deal.

Ukraine aid is a lot bigger than media wants you to believe. Like it safe to assume Ukraine got around 70% of total nato AD and artillery.
Example officially Ukraine got 31 abrams but there are more than 31 destroyed around so media created a story that Australia has given Ukraine 70 extra.
Same with Bradley officially Ukraine got 107 but there is way more than 107 destroyed so they stealthy changed to "Ukraine received over 300 Bradley". Ukraine got in June officially 6 f16 but 1 was destroyed by Ukraine and 4 blown up in hangars but they still had some so they officially changed to 16 f16.
Ukraine aid is over 500 billions.
Countries like Poland gave majority of their stuff to Ukraine.
And Ukraine had 2nd biggest army in Europe with more total tanks than all of Europe (without Russia) so they weren't a joke.
If Russia falls apart it will make China stronger and logical goal is not to unite China and Russia.
