What does Reddit has to say about it ?

Searching relevant post last 24 hours is just Trump bad. But by specifically searching for that city I found this

So what Ukrainian are doing to combat a loss of strategical city ? Pump more soldiers in Kursk region :marseyxd:

Today iskanders were hitting some barracks in Sumy

47 brigade was located there. 37 dead and unknown number of dead.

47 are my fav brigade

It's because it has M-2s that the general staff in Kyiv keeps sending the 47th Mechanized Brigade into action. When a powerful Russian force launched an offensive along the Avdiivka-Pokrovsk axis in October, the generals ordered the 47th Mechanized Brigade to hurry from southern Ukraine to eastern Ukraine—and join the defense.

Four months later, Avdiivka fell as its ammunition-starved garrison retreated, partly under the cover of the M-2s' autocannons. The eastern front line briefly stabilized and, in April, the 47th Mechanized Brigade was finally preparing to depart the front line for its first unit-wide rest in nine months.

But then the Russians broke through Ukrainian defenses around the village of Ocheretyne, launching a steady westward march that would ultimately bring them to within six miles of Pokrovsk. The 47th Mechanized Brigade turned around and rejoined the fight around Ocheretyne—and kept fighting as the Russians advanced.

Five months later, the 47th Mechanized Brigade had lost most of its Assault Breachers, a third of its Abrams and another 20 or so of its Bradleys. Even with the hard work of a front-line repair battalion, turning wrenches to speed battered M-2s back into battle, the 47th Mechanized Brigade is apparently running low on fully operational Bradleys.

When western source dunk on khohol that hard, reality is a lot worse.

That should change as the brigade settles into its long-delayed break and extra M-2s arrive by ship, train and truck. How long the 47th Mechanized Brigade will get to rest and reset is hard to predict. The Russians are still advancing toward Pokrovsk and also making small gains north and south of the city.

They got zero break :marseyexcited:

They were send to hold pokrovsk directing then when they failed, Zelenskyy decided to send them to Kursk where they now getting bombed.

Even if they use all the M-2s they won't push it through in Kursk. Russian improved its drones and glide missiles by a lot and in Kursk Russia can use its allies. So even if khohols thinking that holding that territory until Trump becomes president it will give them something it won't. Russia has to many cards to play and funnies is agree to freeze the lines but let NK continue fighting.

So retrospective it will be a hilarious event. Khohols holding with all their elites 500 square km where 10k people lived in hope they use it to trade for something big but end up losing it anyway and losing those soldiers in an offence :marseyxd:

Even that pro khohol Wikipedia that denied capture of bakhmut for 5 months, can't lie that Ukrainian loses are bigger in Kursk

Ukrainian soldiers in Kursk told they killed 200 Russian in last 3 days of their assaults.

Western media Russian are losing 2000 soldiers a day

https://i.rdrama.net/images/17314454162037814.webp

The widest place in that sector is around 15km. And it's 35km in length. There just not enough space for battles to happen where 2k+ soldiers would die a day

Okay.

Here are some words

And a random map

Widest place around 15 miles, 45 miles in length. Totally enough space for battles to happen where 2k+ soldiers die in a day

If there were legit 2000 Russian soldiers dying there, there would been some legit proof. The best what they have is 200 dead in 3 days.

That 2000 soldiers dying is just bs Ukrainian excuse of why they are still there. In the past they been saying that Russian dying 1500 a day on whole front and now suddenly on not main front for Russian they are dying 2000 a day.

Like even in bakhmut khohols never claimed 2000 Russian dying a day and that was the bloodiest battle in this conflict

The map is legit to small for 2000 people to die since that would mean at least 100+k Russian soldiers are fighting there at same time.

Julian wrote KIA and WIA, there just no proof of 2000 dead a day.

Also I would expect anyone that has an opinion that I wanna my spend time reading, to know that not long ago Zelenskyy been saying Russian losing 2000 soldiers in Kharkov a day

When they only attacked with 20k and Zelenskyy told they losing 2000 on 15th day.

So in other words Ukraine is famous for lying especially when things go not as planned.

And let's do simple logic test, info of 50k Russian in Kurs soldiers started showing op on the internet like 3 days ago. Let's assume they were there for 10 days and Ukraine killing then 2000 a day, that would mean almost half is gone and soon all of them will be gone and Ukraine will be able to push to Moscow, right ? In 2 week no Russian soldier will be left in Kursk, right ?

We see how wrong you are in 2 weeks

I have no horse in this race you just are really wingcucked for some reason.

If anything I hope the war drags on, the Ukrainians I have subcontracting for me are miles ahead of the Polaks

There's no basis for the argument that Russia is massing Pyrrhic offensives right before Trump freezes the conflict when he takes office in January. Russia has the upperhand in manpower, artillery, drones, tanks, and almost every metric. Why would they slow down?
