Am I the only one who thinks this would be a win for Ukraine? Looks like they keep 85% of their landmass and remain a sovereign nation. I don't see a realistic more favorable alternative.

At first they coped with Ukraine has big losses in Kursk because they are attacking.
But they haven't gained ground in Kursk since 15 August so they actually now defending with bigger loses

The brigade that was protecting it is 116 brigade one of the brigades that has those leopards 2a4 (2a6 and abrams pretty exclusively used by my faf brigade 47)

What Putin offers is a no no for Ukrainian politician. He wants Ukraine to recognise territorial loses.
US offer is freezing the conflict. Accepting for west that Russia legally start owning Ukrainian territory is huge political problem so they are nowhere near accepting this so Putin will continue saying wast don't want real peace and continues grinding Ukraine

Ukraine never owned any nukes. During Soviet Union all nukes were property of Russian Soviet republics, all launch codes were there and even soldiers that were protecting those nukes were always picked to be out of Russia.
If Ukraine tried to touch those nukes US would been the first to start bombing Kiev.
There was also nukes in Kazakhstan and Belarus but they returned it without any problems but Ukraine started demanding stuff for them like they got some Soviet embassy's and etc, they didn't wanted to give Russian all the soviet legacy. So US decided to sell some memorandum (memo) to Ukrainian and to this day many people don't understand memo is just reminder you need to do something and doesn't mean you did it so memorandum have no binding or legal power
