If anyone thinks missile defenses are good enough to stop ICBM swarms theyre delusional.
At best theyre meant to reduce loss so the US "wins" the exchange, even if that means only 60% of the pop dies vs 85%.

Yeah I don't think everyone realizes how unstoppable ICBMs are. Upper atmosphere they're dumping insane amounts of aluminum particles to jam satellite detection and then 10 warheads are traveling at hypersonic speed to individual targets from just one ICBM.
I'm sure they're even more effective these days than back in the Cold War as well.
