Eeeeh, some pro athletes actually had pretty bad symptoms from the coof because their bodies are pretty much in a constant weakened state from all the physical activity. Obviously it doesn't affect the odds of getting it but it could definitely ruin this dude's career if he missed a year in his prime just because he's scared of needles.

Surely this will be a problem for all teams? The football calendar has been very condensed this year and top level footballers have only had about two weeks off since the vaccine became available, it's not surprising that they don't want to risk being made unwell by the vaccine and missing a match.

As I understand it the superduperkickball world championship is a prestige thing and the players don't actually get paid. Being on the national team gets you clout but it's the clubs who pay your salaries. George Best, one of the greatest footballers ever had little-to-no international exposure because he played for British-Occupied Ireland who are a tiny national team nobody cares about.
