Looks like Hasbro are so desperate for sales that they've re-released the same game (d&d 5e) with minor rule tweaks, plus removing any mention of "race". The old version is now marked as "legacy".
Practically nobody is going to buy a $50 new game manual for this. It's a cynical move aimed at whales.

Not just re-releasing the game, but anything from 5e that 5.5 changes is being overwritten in their subscription service and you can't get the 5e stuff back.
