Used to have a full deck of these but about 12 years ago or so my mother
tossed it out along with my elemental heroes deck so all I have left is some of the duplicates and crappy 
cards

What timeframe were they released in? I stopped around 2006 so I never got to play with these.
I forgot, do you go to a comic shop or whatever and actually play or just nostalgiamax by collecting?
Dragon Shields are a blast from the past though.
I had switched over to KMC by the time I stopped playing but I don't recall the reasons why I ended up preferring that brand, might have just been the colors available.

I haven't played in 2 years cuz the free state is an Uber backwater shitheap, even when compared to Gauteng and Limpopo provinces and there are no Card or game shops/clubs near me except in the capital of the Free State and that's far away
So I'll only play with friends who are not as neurodivergent as me,
But I love collecting them and obsessing over them like Golem and his precious - like if my house burned down I'm skipping my desktop and laptop and grabbing all MY CARDS
Dragon shields are Uber expensive holy hells these are from 2019 when the rand was bit better

lol I would've been the same way, at my peak M:TG phase I had several hundred pounds worth of cards in rolling plastic tubs.
They don't call it cardboard crack for nothing.
If I'd held my collection the last time I checked I would've had one binder alone worth close to $20k USD. I won enough at the local level that I could fund sleeves and mats etc with store credit from Friday Night Magic.
