Isn't part of the story that The Emperor, despite being a le heckin Reddit atheist is actually evolving into a powerful magical being and if not stopped will probably ascend to godhood in the future?
It's weird how religionstrags get defensive about the 40k Emperor's atheism when the man himself says he's not a real god and never wanted people to worship them because that's how you get unbeatably powerful warp demon entities calling themselves god in the first place.
In the end he finds himself getting turned into a god against his will as his empire plunges further into degeneracy and decline, creating this living nightmare of a feedback loop for him. And he still wouldn't be an omnipotent god like Yaweh or whatever.
And worst of all, he's actually a Turk! They want to worship a Turk!
It's funny cause this is what religioncucks say too.
The best is when they get defensive over the necessity of religion for cultural or political reasons. They're just admitting they don't believe either, but it's convenient for them do so.
