Long story short is that the premier casual format for magic banned over $300 worth of cards today and the competitive degens who latch onto the format and have their own competitive circlejerks are mega seething because their uber expensive tournaments largely relied on 3/4 cards banned today. The casual format's 3rd party ban committee (it's weird) really doesn't like the competitive niche and has refused all pressure from them to moderate their shitty format
I have a buddy who started the day with just under $1000 worth of these cards. Let's see how low they get. cEDHcells stay losing

Are they actually saying that Nadu was so fricking pushed that it was too strong for the format it was designed for in addition to modern?

Nadu wasn't "designed for" any format, they made a last minute change and pushed straight to prod with zero testing
