I check /tttt/ for bong trans genocide news that isn't optically appropriate enough to get blasted from the rooftops and end up here (eg. yesterday it came out that the NHS is offering trans minors free 'consultations' to try to find out if theyre using private care, and if the minor admits to this they blackmail them with threats of CPS referrals if they won't agree to stop).
Thats pretty much it, i dont use much else

I still don't think I really get it. I think gender affirming care for kids is appropriate sometimes but maybe not some other times. Idk, I am not a doctor.

Imo the decision should be left with the parents for the forseeable future, it's clearly beneficial to the overwhelming majority of trans youth but even if the detransition rate is 1% that's still a risk/reward that reflects on the parent's values. Of course because everyone worships the government this reasonable middle ground will not be allowed so
