You know Klenny, in the chuddy-irony laden context I'd agree with you.

But I want to share a moment of reflection and some context. Recently my grandmother died (This Monday) and we've been having some family time, making arrangements, etc. My grandmother lived in this neighborhood next to a black family, blacker than the night. They also happen to be the sweetest people, calling my grandmother while she was in the hospital and hospice, telling her that they were praying for her.

When we told them that my grandmother had died, they cried, like a lot. They were almost as sad as we were, despite only being neighbors in a community for six or so months. They were giving hugs, in tears, just legitimately sad. It's moments like these that, while it's easy to be casually racist on the internet, followers of Christ are universal regardless of skincolor. And so is compassion. It's easy to pin blame on a black doctor treating my grandmother's case flippantly and calling him a BIPOC. But ultimately, this just doesn't hold true. The doctor isn't a BIPOC because he's black, he's a BIPOC because he's a BIPOC. My grandmother used to say it's not on the outside that makes you a BIPOC, but on the inside.

In Christ we find unity to resist not only the forces of temptation and find redemption in our earthly failures and trials, but also we can find compassion for those that we may not initially get along with, or understand. If you turn off the TV, and stop letting the government get between you and your neighbors, things can and will get better for you and the world.

Just my two cents.

There is literally no conflict between recognizing that black people can be wonderful and recognizing that black neighborhoods need more policing because black people tend to be dumb and violent.
