pile up! is a really cool version of ISLANDERS with more to do in it, I really like this new little rogue-lite city builder genre and bet in a few more games it’s going to be extremely good. :marseyagreefast:

That’s the only demo out of like 6 I want to try from this festival, next one I’ll try out later will be DREDGE. Fishing explorer sounds v v v v v relaxing. :marseyderp:

The Next Fest has been pretty good this time. Lots of neat stuff.

My favorites so far:

ARRIVAL: ZERO EARTH - Action roguelite where you recruit Finnish townspeople to stop an alien invasion. Instead of playing as single character you play as an army that can only shoot while standing still.

Artifacts of Eyru - FPS roguelite that plays as good as it looks. Despite that and the demo being over in 15 minutes I was charmed by it.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos - Martial arts soulslike with a cool artstyle.

Potionomics - Manage your time and a potion shop as you brew potions, meet other characters, and haggle customers through card battles.

Spark in the Dark - Bleak isometric dungeon crawler with a well-crafted atmosphere and an emphasis on being deliberate in what you're doing.

Storyteller - Casual puzzle game where you're given locations and characters and have to create a story based on the prompt. For example, when I was asked to create a story with two self poisonings, I made a story about a man who proposed to a woman but killed himself after she passed away. He was revived and poisoned himself again after realizing the love of his life was still dead.

Soulstone Survivors - Vampire Survivors clone.

The Case of the Golden Idol - If you liked Return of the Obra Dinn, you should give this one a shot. You're presented with a scene and your goal is to click around and deduce the identities of everyone in the scene and what caused the actions that are playing out.

Games I liked but didn't wishlist:

DEAD LETTER DEPT. - Horror game where you work in data entry and type out highlighted words.

DREDGE - Fishing adventure with horror elements.

ZERO Sievert - Top-down S.T.A.L.K.E.R. type game.

I don't know what I'm going to do if this happens a third time.
