The experiment went on for 16-17 years before the vault was abandoned (as evidenced by the number of overseer skeletons at the end). Not useful, just interesting

Yeah I used to play it like every year even when it crashed all the time. It still has 1)about best writing in videogames. Good TV like old Bioware, but hey, some actual themes and insights into human nature, too, who ever heard of that, in r-slurred videogames?
2)all the Bethesda RPG and open world shit that's just pretty fun, 3)guns real and imagined fleshed out by gun nerds, and like I don't even own any guns, but I know enough to appreciate it. So like the "All-American" is good for reasons an AR-15 is actually good, while the fictional Grenade Machine-gun is good for reasons you might imagine, too. And both of those guns are useable throughout the game. There really is a "play it your way" element that's not bullshit, while the RPG shit is still there (“Happiness is the feeling that power increases - that resistance is being overcome.”--Nietzche.)

There’s overhaul patches that fixes most things without changing the game. I recommend 3 for the side quests and NV is good overall. They look a little rough but you get used to it pretty quick

I'd say so, I played it and Skyrim on Xbox on release and just played FO:NV (albeit heavily modded) on PC and had a great time
