just started gta: episodes from liberty city. why is this shit so glitchy?

off work today + hair of the dog drinking because i feel like absolute shit. I been playing on my ps3 reminiscing middle school days so I picked up gta: episodes from liberty city the only gta i havent finished. the game is so fricking glitchy was it like this when it dropped? certain missions I can't finish for some reason. like when u do the heroin deal at the building after I lose my wanted level the mission won't finish.
