Elden Ring. Casually getting a new character ready for the DLC and reaching the point in the game where I can access the expansion.

Souls games are the only ones that make me feel anything these days. Multiplayer stuff is fun but with a full family of kids I can't bring myself to play online competitive games since it's such a time commitment to git gud. A family member does that and it's like he's a 40 year old child considering he didn't help his kids do college apps, he just games after work; I had to help them get ready for college. Anyway, souls games are the only single player games that don't immediately let me walk to the finish line.

Project Zomboid.

I'm still on that same Jim Cornette run. I found a cop car with a key so I road out of Rosewood to that small lil' town on the North-West side to raid the gun store there but it didn't have jack, not even a shotgun, just a shitton of 45 ammo. So I road on to the closest town from there, the one with the gas station that has a small apartment on the second floor, and there was a van with a key in the parking lot. Gonna' spend a couple of in-game days fixing up the inside of the van and make a cozy cottage.

Casually, really feeds into my !ss13 nostalgia. Not as bad as many people make it out to be, pretty fun actually, gets boring fast.

I've been playing Super Metroid map randomizer a bunch lately (maprando.com), and it's been wonderful. I love how it forces me to learn new tricks every time.

Got back into 7 Peepees to Do. It's been pretty fun looting and killing zombies, it's a lot easier now since last time I played and I've been making good progress, but I'm not super into the base building stuff. My gear is pretty top tier rn so maybe I'll focus on trying to get better at the base stuff soon.

Snowrunner. It's a walking sim with off-highway trucks. Good for what it is, for an hour every now and then, but there's a lot of unfulfilled potential, ie you can't give me a ton of licensed Caterpillar equipment in the game and then have no way to actually change the terrain, fix roads etc.

Sniper Elite 5 - I like shooting Nazis.

Encased - Russian game trying to be like Fallout 1/Fallout 2. Seems pretty good to me so far. They've actually get a setting that's interesting.

Interstellar Space: Genesis - They took the best parts of Master of Orion 1, MOO2, and a little from the many other games that ripped them off. The result is probably the best games of the genre that I've played. It's not a huge improvement, but noticeable.

Carrier Battles 4 Guadalcanal - I played the Coral Sea and lost both carriers without even attacking theirs. Maybe I'll do better next time. Seems to do a good job of including features that are important but not adding unnecessary complexity.

Troubleshooter - I always come back to this. The best tactical gameplay I've ever found.

Thriving City: Song - Citybuilder that's got the aesthetics of Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom but better mechanics.

Shadow Empire - The ultimate autismo-fest. Generate a planet from scratch then build up your forces and conquer it. Very complex but relatively easy to learn since the rules are all simulating real life stuff like how different atmospheres work, seasons, tanks, etc.

Juno: New Origins - Kerbal Space Program except done from a clean slate, without evolving from a primitive prototype and carrying all that baggage. It seems pretty good so far but I haven't reached orbit yet. I don't know if I'll be able to give up all my KSP mods tho. Since KSP 2 was recently canceled, I guess this the closest thing we'll get to a sequel.

Timberborn - Citybuilder but with flowing water that you can block, divert, and otherwise manipulate with dams, levees, canals, etc. This is actually a really cool mechanic to base a game around, not just a gimmick.

I haven't been playing anything but I've been reading up on Spore in preparation for an effortpost

I finished the main story of FE:A. Kinda anticlimatic, though Chrom and Lissa literally finding Robin in a field somewhere at some point after she sacrifices herself made me smile ngl, though it was also kinda stupid?

Working my way through the DLC and spotpass paralogues slowly because I also got back into TS4 and picked up my current main fam again. Plus some of the DLC is annoying! I swear you're obligated to run vantage for death's embrace

LEGO Hill Climb Adventures, it's a mobile game that's actually really good. Tons of content and way better than the og that released years ago.

Also Cookie Clicker because the Android version finally got updated.

The fact that you can play a PlayStation game on Xbox's game pass (I'm using The Show 24) is quite crazy to think about…but hey, since that I do so…
